This spirit isproduced through single-batch distillation in copper pot stills, and then aged in bourbon and sherry casks for six years using the solera method. The result is a mahogany rum with flavors of orange marmalade, stone fruit and a subtle taste of tupelo honey, the company says, leading to a finish with hints of black pepper, smoke and the sherry casks themselves.
The nameXO Mardi Gras references the brands Louisiana heritage and the states celebrated holiday. XO Mardi Gras comes in a glass decanter sealed with a cork and wooden closure that features kaleidoscope tiles, adding a bit of Mardi Gras flair.
