The distillery A.H. Riise is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony. The pharmacist Albert Heinrich was allowed not only to open a pharmacy around the 1840s, but also to produce alcohol.
The A.H. Riise SIGNATURE Master Blender Collection is unique. Under each bottle is the name of the Master Blender. There are less than 2,000 bottles of each edition.
The best rums from a wide variety of barrels from different origins with different levels of maturity are used in the production. The barrels are not completely emptied – the last residue remains in the barrel and gives the blend a special flavor.
