The inspiration for making Bols liqueurs goes back more than 440 years, and can be found in ancient recipes and techniques, perfected and adapted to modern tastes.
This whisky-like distillate is made from rye, corn and wheat. Hollenders say malt spirit to it. Bols Genever is mixed with a distillate made from juniper berries. Only in Holland and in some neighbouring regions is it allowed to produce a genever.
