St. Bernardus Abt 12 750ml
$21.50 Original price was: $21.50.$17.20Current price is: $17.20.
A dark ivory coloured beer with a high fermentation. The show piece of the brewery. Thanks to its soft and unconditionally genuine aroma, the beer can be smoothly tasted. The Abt has a very fruity flavour.
Beautiful layered flavours superbly balanced. Theres dark fruit in the forefront (prunes, cherries), and bright, slightly bitter notes in the back (orange peel, hints of clove and coriander seed) Great mouthfeel. Its syrupy, but not overly sweet. This is an almost perfect quad, quite probably my favourite.

The splendid mixture between bitterness and caramel characterises this beer. Like other beers made in Floreffe Abbey, it is not filtered. It may therefore be slightly cloudy if served cold. As the monks’ recipe specifies, it is refermented in the bottle with yeast and sugar. 8% ABV Best…

It is a full-mouthed, malty beer with touches of caramel, coffee and chocolate coming from the roast malt. The sweet initial taste is quite surprising. Further tasting…
