Initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, this whisky develops a foundation of soft vanilla and honey notes. It is then transferred to Gonzalez Byass casks that once held 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry, allowing for a remarkable depth of character. This finishing period enhances its complexity, unlocking layers of richness at a bold 43.6% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Aroma:Deep citrus, warm ginger cake, and ripe orchard fruits.
Palate: Marzipan, Morello cherries, figs, aged bodega casks, and Oxford marmalade.
Finish: Toffee apple, cinnamon spice, dark chocolate, and liquorice.
